US Country Director
Overview
Smaller Earth is a cultural exchange business with an exciting portfolio of programs. We offer meaningful work and volunteer travel opportunities to and from locations across the globe. Over the past few years we have built on our original Summer Camp program (Camp Leaders) and expanded rapidly to offer over 90 other work and travel products. We are a successful and ambitious company committed to our core purpose of ‘inspiring people to go further’. Our vision is to have a positive impact on the lives of 20 million people by 2020. To achieve our vision we are currently implementing an expansion strategy that includes the appointment of key members of our US based team which includes the appointment of a US Director.
The successful candidate will be expected to have considerable management experience. They will have a track record that demonstrates their personal contribution to business growth and their ability to build and develop a highly motivated and fully engaged staff team. The right person will be expected to manage the operational aspects of the US business, to mastermind the ambitious US expansion plans and further the purpose and vision of Smaller Earth. Knowledge and experience of working in the cultural exchange/travel industry would be an advantage.

The US Director will join our existing US team of 9 staff in the Stamford, Connecticut office and must be eligible to work in the US.
